I think it looks pretty good.

As for the Turbo 4cyl, why not? The Explorer with EcoBoost is successful with it.

Nice new picts. Did not see anything relating to the new electronics/warning systems.

According MotorTrend, thanks to this major facekife CX9, we will not see the FMC CX9 until 2015.
2015. Just in time when I replace my 2008.

Quote:
"Don’t expect new engines or transmission for the three-row Mazda CX-9 crossover before a 2015 or 2016 redesign, though new front and rear fascias, an updated grille, and an interior refresh are part of a 2013 makeover."

Picked up a 2013 CX9 brochure a couple days ago at dealership.
Saw one up close.
Other than the front and rear styling changes, I noticed the following from the brochure.
1) daytime running LED lights integrated into headlights
2) HD Radio, Pandora
3) backview camera has guiding lines once again
4) Tom-Tom GPS (incl. voice control)
5) side mirrors w/ memory (in addition to seats)
6) Nicer leather seat trimming.
7) 6 colors only - no more blue

Too bad about the blue.

I think you can auto-fold the mirrors back on the new GT as well.

Completely disappointed. Just another facelift, like they did for the 2010 MY. Same old engine, trans, power, fuel economy. Nothing exciting/interesting.
If I were to change the car now, I`d look for an Explorer Sport or an Audi Q7.

The JX is cool except for the quarter glass. I can't get past that horrific looking glass angle. The Pathfinder quarter glass looks much better. I looked at a 2013 Pathfinder today that was at a bodyshop... 37k doesn't even get you projector lenses in the headlights, let alone xenon. Costs Nissan all of 10 bucks to make the headlamps on those things. Pretty nice on the inside, but pretty cheap on the outside, if you ask me. The Infinty is nicer on the outside, but again, the quarter glass sucks.

Yeah, design statements like that tend to be polarizing. For those keeping track, the JX starts in the low $40K "luxury" price range, where our loaded Mazda GT tops out.

Yeah I looked at that and some other premium SUVs but in the end couldn't see paying that money for something I'm buying to use for utility. I've already starting scratching the back up from using, killing me because car is so new and would be killing me more if I paid $20k more for it.

Ah--I totally forgot to check this at the Philly Auto Show this week. I liked the new perforated leather; but didn't like the deletion of the 2-toned leather trim in the seats. Although I don't love the red gauges on my '12, I didn't really love the new IP either--kind of bland.

And--no headlight washers on the US model...that I remembered to check.

I think it looks really nice. This refresh is far nicer than the one we saw in 2010 (?) imo - though removing the LED rears makes no sense to me. I'm also surprised that after some 6-7 years they aren't doing anything more than a basic refresh... and the interior is exactly the same (armrest excluded) as my 2007. While I still think it is a pretty nice interior, I'm sure they could have at least refreshed it so many years later.

Looks like the hood, front fenders, rear quarters are all the same as previous models. Should be fairly straightforward to convert an earlier model to this look.

Looks like front/rear bumpers, headlights, tailights, and modified exhaust tips would do it. Nice.

I would LOVE to have the sensors. One thing I do not like about my 2012.
