2013 M2 antenna adaptor

So i'm installing my new pioneer head unit this weekend, and i have a question about the antenna adapter. I bought the standard Honda based one that I've seen people using (same as this one http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B000K4YOCG/). But i'm not 100% sure if need to hook up the blue wire that is used for power antennas or not.

Should i hook it up to a switched +12v from the HU, or is it even needed in our cars?

Our cars do not have power antennae, they are fixed-base. You do not connect the wire.
