2013 GT LED Lights

Hello,

I just got my new 2013 CX9 GT. From reading the instruction manual I believe that the LED DRL lights should be on during the day when the light switch is set to the auto position. Mine only come on when the headlight or parking lights are on. Can someone verify if the DRL lights should be on during the day with the switch in the auto position. Thanks a lot,

I don't have one, but I've seen many on the road with the DRLs on, but not the parking lights. I have to believe that putting the switch in the "AUTO" position, rather than "OFF" is the way to do this. There's certainly NO POINT to have them come on when the headlights are on--you don't need DRLs when you have full intensity lights on; and they aren't parking lights, so they shouldn't only come on when other lights are on. Have you called the dealer's service dept?

I just wanted to post a quick follow up. I mentioned my light question to the dealer and they said they would have a look at them. When I picked my truck up they said the LED light were working. When I started the truck up they were on. I decided to check again after I parked at home and they were off.

To make a long story short I accidentally discovered that the LED lights turn off when the parking brake is on. Since I always use the parking brake, including when I would get out of the truck to look at the lights, they were never on when I looked. This isn't mentioned anywhere in the book that I can find. Thanks for the suggestions
