Wow...the Jetta has gotten beefy over the years. Not really a fan of this new edition and is it just me or does that front end resemble the Forte Koup from certain points of view?

I think with the right cosmetic addon's it could be really nice. Just in this particular trim level it just not exciting. It's clean, nothing I'd call ugly, but doesn't make me "want it" either.

Someone needs to dress er up!

i was looking at 2010 models. more specifically the sportwagen (which already sports a very similar front end).

i even test drove a 2010 sportwagen tdi. very nice ride. standard is the 6 speed manual, and the tdi gets the 10 speaker touch screen stereo. (not nav but who needs one with todays cell phones). the only thing you have to get used to is the diesel's powerband. it is low.

also, they made the jetta large since the golf is the small car and they are getting rid of the passat.

they used to have a nice aero kit for the jetta, but i do not see it on their site anymore. maybe the 2011 models with have something again.

anyways, i think the 2011 jetta looks simple and clean. too many cars now have so many annoying angles and lines (new mz3's ring a bell). The interior in the jetta is the same way. i was looking at the golf tdi, but you can get pretty much the same mileage in a larger car... i would get the jetta then. with a kid, i'm finding that i need more room than just another protege size. plus, i want 40+ mpg hwy.
