You are right. I mounted the bike carriers last night and tested the sunroof. It clears, but the passenger side carrier is within 1/32" of an inch from touching the glass....really close. The driver side has about 1/8-3/16" of clearance. Its possible with the downforce on the glass i won't have a problem or its possible the glass vibrating might hit.I will have to test it. Regardless, i can just manually tog it to say 98% open. I don't anticipate using the rack for anything else....maybe a kayak carrier in the future, but later down the road. Looks like the fairing will sit on the glass too.....ran out of time to install. Anybody out there with a fairing installed and equipped with the sunroof? Problems/solutions?

Check out my previous posts in the "Yakima finally worked out the roof rack" thread. I posted pics of my 5 with a sunroof and Yakima fairing. I essentially added a 3rd crossbar about 8" forward from the normal front bar. The fairing ends up very vertical due to the forward sloping front portion of the roof. See pics, it'll explain...
