2010 MS3 shifting sounds

Just had my subframe bushings replaced today...no more clunking and the car feels a little tighter in the twisties. Only tool them 6 hrs to complete the job too.

I could never find a link, Mazda seems to have put a nix on releasing those to the general public like in the past. I had to have the dealership get it for me.

I do experience the same sound......but its kind of a "doink" sound (if that makes any sense). I also just experienced a squeaking or creaking noise when the gas is depressed a little or let go. My speed 3 has only 2500 on it as well. I'm thinking rear motor mount since its such a piece. There shouldnt be any damn noises at 2500 miles.....gotta love cars. Any ideas?

tranny clunks are normal happens in mustangs and challengers as well, iv'e driven both. it might help if u get the sure shortcut, sure anchors, and shift weight, also couldnt hurt to get the RMM, i got tired of my motor slamming into the firewall lol, but look into those components and should help, hope that helps you

Yea I been noticing this too on my 2011 with 2500 miles. I put it in the air and it seemed like it was coming from more the passengers side floor so on the right front axle I seen oil leaking from the bearing in the center. Dont think its the prblem but it sounds like slopp in the axle bc I dont feel it in the shifter. but I dont think that is a mount making a noise. I saying something at the dealer about it.

I noticed the oil as well when I did my first oil change.

For those that hear this thunk clunck try this, in 2nd or 3rd gear release gas pedal then tap on gas pedal you can hear the same noise but very faintly. As if something is knocking around. Mines been the same since 2 miles on the clock. On a couple of occasions I must have shifted into second not perfectly and the thunk was so loud I thought my engine dropped lol.
