Car novice here so pardon the naivet'.
I've got a 2010 5 AT with ~26,500 miles on it. A couple months ago, I noticed the transmission seemed to be slow to shift when accelerating between 40-60MPH and then again from 60-80MPH. It also feels like the transmission "stumbles" when downshifting through the same speed ranges as you decelerate on the highway.
Maybe not related, but the other day my wife was driving on the highway with Cruise Control set at 80MPH. She had to slow (manually braking) to 75MPH...when she pressed Resume to cruise at 80MPH again, the engine "red-lined" until she tapped the brakes and the engine shifted.
The dealer of course said they can't duplicate this performance...anyone have any similar experience or ideas on what might be going on?
Thanks in advance!
