2010 Mazda 3 I sport Auto
i just recently gotton my hands on this 2010 Mazda 3 i Sport automatic w/overdrive 5 sp manual and i dont know if i should even bother tuning this car up, so i need some recommendations if i should or not any help is help ful thanks

By "tuning up" do you mean make modifications? Oh, does the car have an automatic or manual trans? Your post is a bit confusing.

yeah modifications, its automatic but it has that little shifter like most new cars have

Depends on what you have in mind for modifications? Power-wise you don't have much other than exhaust and intake (KN drop in or SRI kit from Corksport). Handling you could do a lot with: springs/coilovers, sways, tires, rims, brakes, and other strut braces. Personally this is a daily driver commuter car for me, so, I only did a drop in filter and cosmetic upgrades (OEM lip spoiler, mudflaps, HIDs, interior LEDs, Tint, Carbon Fiber wrapped interior handles); I would love to do the Corksport exhaust, but unless I have some extra cash laying around for modifications.....I'll just have to satisfy my power needs with my Volvo S60R that I have.

Good Luck with the new car and go look over at www.corksport.com for great parts.

I have an auto in mine. I have done some suspension mods. Speed3 springs front and rear, and speed3 rear sway bar. I also have the speed3 front bar yet to be installed. Also an Injen cold air intake. In the future I would like to do a balance shaft delete, and maybe a header on stock exhaust. There are a lot of things to be done on our cars mostly suspension. Not too much can be done cheaply to make more power, unless you have deep pockets and go with a turbo kit. It all depends what you want to do with the car. Autocross, track days, spirited weekend drives on curvy roads, or fast and furious style. There are plenty of people on the forum to offer advice, and threads that could help answer some questions. Good luck!

thanks i was just looking for some extra power in the mazda and cosmetic upgrades if you guys have any good websites to find some be greatful

As far as the cosmetic upgrades are concerned you could just look through Ebay for body kits, there are a ton of options. Not sure about the 2010 though. Window tint and aftermarket wheels go a long way to change the looks of a car.
Extra power has fewer options. You could start with a cold air intake or short ram intake, that will get you a handfull of horsepower 6-8 maybe. A header (Vibrant makes a good one) and exhaust system (corksport) will give you a bit more power about 15-20 hp. Cosworth makes a Balance Shaft Delete kit. A BSD will take some weight out of the engine (15lbs iirc) and allow the engine to rev a little quicker. A BSD however will cause some noticable vibrations. Just do a ton of research and ask questions.
BTW, I noticed your location is an AFB, and I want to thank you for your service to our country!

thanks for the information i willl take all this advise into consideration, and yes i do serve for the military and thank you
