2010 Mazda 3s Grand Touring
I have a 2010 3s Grand Touring (with stock xenons). I didn't like the color temperature of the stock bulbs so I got a pair of aftermarket bulbs. My question is, do you really have to take off the front bumper to be able to replace the xenon bulbs? I have removed all visible bolts/screws and still cannot remove the headlight to replace the bulbs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to a very reliable source on a very reliable -but unfortunately for you, french speaking- forum (www.mazda3quebec.com) yes, you do have to remove the whole bumper to replace the HID bulbs. This guy I know on said forum does this as a side line, and he told me there is no other way.

It's not supposed to be very hard, though: let me try to translate the little "how-to" he posted: There is 5-6 bolts under the hood, 2 screws and 6 clips in the wheel wells, 7 or 8 screws for the black plastic lip under the bumper and finally 2 screws underneath that holds the bumper in place. Voil! I hope this was helpful!

I added hid's to my car and NEVER had to take the bumper off? Why would you have to do that? You can see the bulb no trouble.

anyone would be nearly half retarded to take the freakin bumper off to change out your headlight bulbs
