2009 v/s 2012

Hi,

I have almost decided to go for CX-9 now. I have 2 options as below?

1. To go for brand news CX-9 2012 OR
2. To go for good condition CX-9 2009 for $22k with 47000 KM driven so far.

My question is what are those additional features which I will "Miss" if I go for 2009 model? Is this deal worth?
Can any body help me here?

Dharmesh, the 2009 has the old style wheels, old style front bumper, old style mirrors, the center stack is a little different (some of the buttons have been re-arranged) and some of the buttons are different on the steering wheel.

I prefer the wheels, bumper, fog lights, side mirrors on the 07 - 09 cx-9's. Mazda cut costs with the current bumper, fog light bezels (unpainted), thinner mirror turn signals, etc. Some prefer the new look, some prefer the old. It is a matter of personal preference.

My personal stance is that the 07 - 09's have less cost cutting. There is more painted surface on the bumper, the fog bezels are painted, the wheels have more surface area, the side view mirors have higher quality lenses and led's, the rear gate has a larger chrome applique on the back, and the headlights were of higher quality as well. Just my take - that's mainly why I got an 08' vs 10'. Sorry for the redundancy.

Also, 2012 has no illuminated door window switches anymore, more cost cutting.

I think for an 09 with those miles, 22k is a little high.

I checked this--the switches on my '12 do light up with 3 little dots (but, for the driver's switches, only the switch controlling the driver's window lights).
