2009 Touring CX-9 + iPhone, A2DP issue

Hi all,

I have a 2009 Touring CX-9 and an iPhone 3G.

I pareid my phone to use with the handfree BT system => no problem.

But, since I did this, my iPhone thinks that my car stereo is capable of receiving BT audio also. The phone keeps using the BT A2DP feature when playing audio.

Since my car system does not seem to support A2DP, I am stuck with no audio (in some cases, see below).

On the "regular/ in rom" iPhone apps (like the music player), I have an option within the app to switch from one output to the other. I use this so select the audio jack as the output to listen to my music thru the AUX system.
But most apps do not have this option, they stick to whatever they think is the output mode to use => I can't hear anything unless I disable BT, but this disables the handsfree phone feature as well......

so

1/ Am I crazy, and there is actually a BT audio mode on the stock (non bose, non navi) ? How do I enable it ?

2/ Anyone knows how to tell an iPhone to use BT handset for calls, but not for audio playback ?

Still you would think Apple would make this easier.

A2DP off

Best thing is to go into the bluetooth pair menu and disconnect just the A2DP music streaming connection.

I figured this out too. The iphone app I mentioned above works very well too.
