2009 Pontiac Vibe Teaser Photo Released

How about swapping the turboed ECOTEC from the Cobalt SS S/C?

I like the vibes. My wife has a 2005. They drive like go-karts (well at least compared to my cx-7). The engine is pretty anemic though, but it gets 27-29mpg in the city and 35+ on long trips, who needs a hybrid? :)

The vibe is a few inches taller (mostly in the ground clearance) than the Protege5.

the matrix is also taller than the p5, but not by a lot

I like the way this looks! way better than the 3 wagon, sadly

i can fit alot more stuff in my P5 than my sister fits in her matrix. Her car is maybe 2 inches taller, but none of that is interior space, it's ride height, it's still a wagon. seriously.

I'll pass...something about the front end just doesn't look right.

That'd be nice, but it'd be tough considering that this is set up for Toyota engines. I wonder if it'd take the V6 from the Camry, since this is a Camry 4-banger.

Oh. The interior looks the same as the new Matrix. Who would've guessed?

While it's a big improvement, I still see bits of the Aztec. Chunks have been blown.

the matrix version should look better, a little more subtle. Pontiac loves thier signature front end, and it keeps getting bigger.

Pontiac released the pricing details on the 2009 Vibe today, and when the wagon/CUV hits dealers this February you'll be able to drive off in the base model for $15,895 (including destination fee) - a significant drop from the '08 model's $17,395 cost of entry. The all-wheel-drive equipped Vibe will come in at just under $20k at $19,495, while the GT model is priced at $19,895. Both the GT and AWD versions come with the Toyota-sourced 158 hp 2.4-liter inline four.
