2009 Mazda 6 throttle response issues

I have a new 2009 Mazda 6 Grand Touring V6 model. Had a local shop try to put in a remote start kit, but now car is exhibiting throttle response problems and the battery light indicator turns on after speed is above approximately 25 mph. When the car comes to a stop, the battery light shuts off.

Throttle response is very choppy at low speeds, pressing on the accelerator, then it jumps and quickly speeds up. Almost seems like it is confused and does not know what gear to put the car in. The remote start has been removed, but the car is still exhibiting the same behavior.

Any insights on this one?

thanks.

Obviously the shop that put the remote start in screwed something up and didn't fix the problem when they removed it.

take it to the dealership. YOu could be in need of a reprogramming. The old V6 mazda6 did that, transmission would get confused. You can still catch the new auto's sometimes, they dont think fast enough. But there was a reflash for the old ones. Maybe they have one for the new 6 already?
