2009 M5 - 3rd FRT RIGHT Axle Seal Gone Bad - Any thoughts?

Third one bad. Starts small then gets nasty. Especially when stopping at a light. Tranny fluid leaks everywhere and starts to burn on the manifold.
Going to the dealer. This is now a pain.

What else could this be?

Gonna snap on my ugly face with the dealer.

Axle not true (straight)?

Thoughts?

I'm leaning towards a bad axle or bad trans bearing holding the axle.

The surface finish on the axle could be out of spec causing premature wear on the seal. Something the technician wouldn't notice or probably even look for.

Do you notice any vibrations during accelleration? If a axle carrier bearing is bad or out of spec it could allow the axle to wobble a little in the trans also damaging the seal. Again the axle could be out of spec allowing excessive movement and again damaging the seal. The wobbling axle may be evident by a shimmy in the front during acceleration. Not always the case but possible.

So they've attempted to fix the problem 3 times w/o success? Isn't that when the lemon law applies? Make 'em buy it back.
