Not you, him. Link takes us to their website and you have to register. I don't want to do that and I am sure others don't want to either. Unless I missed a thread here that he already made with all info.
I have created
a thread on this forum with the information I have already posted, but the details will still only be on EVOLV along with the option to sign up for the BBQ.
Sorry guys, that is by design.
There are a few reasons for this:
The first and most important is that keeping everything on our forum allows us to make sure the information posted is always correct and it saves us the trouble of trying to maintain lists of people coming from multiple sites. We can worry about details for the event and try to make it better for everyone rather than wasting time looking at one forum and copying a list of names to another.
There are too many forums and too many places that information can be posted to try to keep track of all of them and update each one as things change. This way everything is in one central location.
Also, we do have sponsors on our site. Sure, going to our site doesn't mean you are going to buy something, but it does give them more visibility and considering they are donating some excellent prizes to our raffle, we owe them that visibility.
We know people have issues with registering on more sites, but really:
Anyone can register for our site, it is free, it takes less than 5 minutes and most of that time will be signing into your e-mail to click the verification link.
Also, many of you have been coming out to more and more of our meets. We try to have something at least twice a month and they are always posted on our site. Signing up and checking our meets thread once in a while will enable you to see not only upcoming meets but ones already planned for later in the year.
