Guys,

Just picked up a 2009 CX-9 GT today with factory Navi...i couldn't find the Navi manual online anywhere...also does the Navi support voice commands?
Was reading here a lot of complaints about the Navi but its not so bad.....every man to his own i guess!

Thanks in advance

I did have a table of all the verbal commands it recognizes.
I have to dig it out. Haven't had much interest in using voice command after the
initial few days....Very bad recognition.

I think Mazda is moving to TomTom (and its voice recognition, too) starting from CX5.
You can actually install it as an accessory later.

When I picked up my '12, the salesman showed me that you could say "Zoom In" and the map zoomed in. My Lexus has voice command--but it means having to study up on what the acceptable commands are. Someone on Club Lexus has made a list of all the voice commands; I don't know if someone has done the same thing for Mazda.

As ceric said the navi has very bad voice recognition, so even if you know the commands more often than not they will not be understood by the system. One of the few big disappointments of this vehicle.

A few of the commands from the Quick Start guide. (more in the NAVI manual)

“Repeat” “ATM”
“Zoom In / Out” “I’m Hungry”
“Voice Guidance Off / On” “Airport”
“Detour” “Shopping Mall”
“Rest Area” “POI Off”
“Gas Station” “Cancel”
“Hotel” “Enter Destination”
“Hospital” “Go to Preset Destination [#]”
“Police Station” “Go Home”
“Display Day” “Display Night”
“Show Map” “Turn List”

List of voice commands

Found the table I have.
Enjoy.

The last line of the middle column is
"Add way point"
The scanner trimmed it off for some unknown reason.

Those who don't know BNR format,
[...] means "optional"
