2009 Canadian Mazda5 specs

Thanks! The one thing that stands out is the engine has not been beefed up to a 2.5L as some have speculated it would. A 2.5L would suit the 3400lbs a bit better off the line, but OTOH I think it's common knowledge that I'm personally a fan of the 2.3L anyway.
From what I'm hearing you can expect the 2.5L for 2010.

i just talk to one of my old manager. he works at mazda now. when i first got my 5. i wanted in white.. but only come in sand interior which i do NOT like. so i went with the galaxy grey instead. and now he tells me mazda finally decided to have 2 choice of leather for white colour. black leather/sand leather. and i'm just #)*($U#)R$#()*#($@)(#@$@#$ right now. damn mazda!!!! hahaha just venting
and i wish they have 6 disc cd changer in 08. too bad, tough luck i guess

It means 'Tell your friends to go easy in closing the mazda sliding door'.
Nice try.
It's the electric/power auto-latching feature for when you bring your sliding door to close it and you don't have to slam it shut for it to latch.

Sounds like a power door latching system but without the power door part, LOL
we have that already on 2007 GT

^^ Cool, But you know what can really help? An anti-slamming latch system. It detects in-laws in the perimeter and prevents them from slamming the light sliding doors, all this by slowing down the travel speed just before they latch (2thumbs)

Lol That's not new, The GT has had those since the first model year!! My 2006 GT has them.
Oh and by way "Easy close sliding door system" means you have to contsantly tell your passengers, go easy on the doors it's not a Dodge Crapavan!!!

May be Mazda CA forgot to put *power* sliding doors motors. and switches and named it "Easy Close Sliding Door System"..(drinks)

I weep for my innocent 5 every time I see my my mother-in-law throw her body weight into shutting the door. God, sometimes she shuts the eff'in thing so hard, it doesn't latch and bounces back open! I b**** about it to my wife, she tells her mom to be gentle with it, and she still slams it shut anyhow. :mad

Power Doors--Not!
Power-latching doors is more descriptive. The rest of the world gets power doors except the North American market. What have we done to deserve this shabby treatment?
