How f'n hard is it to take the 60s design and modernize it?
That thing is ugly... might be even worse than the current Gran Prix -esque design.

its like car designers cant come out with anything orginal now adays
so they now try to remake old classic cars with a few new designs but they usally look like crap mainly the front. they try to slap on the old stye front on to a new body and then slap on the old back

I don't know, I think truly great car designs only come along so often. But if you can't make a brilliant new design, might as well do a brilliant rip off of an old one. Especially even you're going to be selling this to people who know what a GTO is (was). But even most Mini buyers probably don't know anything about the old Mini and they managed to capture the benefits/looks of the old car in new form. The Corvette is about the only good-lookin' car (trucks are OK) American car companies make today-- the Vette is fine.
No need to look like a Stingray. I like the new Mustang too-- but then again they mined the old Mustang for ideas.
