2008 bumper cover on a 06?

can i swap the bumpers on both years? i need to replace my front bumper cover so i was looking at other years of mazdas and i noticed that the 08 have a cool looking lower centre grill than the 2006. if i can't change the bumper can i just change the grill? has anyone tried this? I've heard that how they are both mounted is different, so who can put a denied stamp on this for me?

I replaced my top grill(which i have an 08) with a mesh grill(for an 06) and the fitment is off... i don't know how the bumpers would go though

im considering going for a 09 front bumper now i much prefer the look of the fog lights for that year . anyone got any input? any mazda shop guys know if i could swap it? theres gotta be an expert on here somewhere!
