2008 2.3L Manual Transmission - Jerky at low RPM/low gear

Hey everyone,

As the title says, for the last week or so, my 3 has seemed especially jerky at low RPM, in 1st and 2nd gear. This is always an issue with a manual transmission (driveline slop as the engine changes between pushing and pulling on the transmission); but mine seems to have suddenly gotten much worse. My car has 119,000 miles on it. It's always done it to some extent but now it's bad enough that I can actually see the tachometer fluctuate up and down as it happens. I can take a video if that'll help.

Maybe it's a motor mount? I thought I was lucky and didn't have the early mount failures I've seen many posts about. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Passenger motor mount, poke it with your finger and look for drool underneath it, if your finger goes in or if it's drooling, replace it with a ROCA solid rubber version and be happy.

Also check all lca bushings and ball joints for excess play.

The lower rear motor mount is also a known weak guy but doesn't break, just doesn't give much feel... pick your favorite brand for an upgrade.
