2007 BMW 335i twin turbo

its like the heart of a supra stuffed into a BMW (rockon)

I can just imagine what those things are going to put down after modifications.

That's what happens when you add forced induction to and engine that is one of the sweetest NA engines around. Turbo + FS-DE...not so much.

eh, never been a bimmer fan. Why have 300 hp from a TT 3.0 v6 when you can get 300+ hp from an N/A 3.5 in a better looking (and performing, imo) g35? And the g35 has tons of aftermarket support including a 4.3stroker kit, and several turbo/supercharging kits.

Because that TT Inline 6 will own any N/A V6 Nissan can put out. Also, as stated before, the 335 dynos at 300hp to the wheels. The G35 dynos around 230hp to the wheels. That's a huge difference. As far as mods go, you will be able to gain gobs of hp with a lot less money with that turbo bmw motor. When you're N/A, you're limited to the amount you can get with bolt-ons. Then you can waste $8000 on a stroker kit that will only net you barely 400hp. You can EASILY attain 400hp for less than half that price out of a twin turbo 6. BMW has just as much aftermarket support as the G35. Besides this car is brand spanking new, so you can't compare the aftermarket support to a car that has been out for 4 years. The BMW 335 wins in pretty much every category compared to the G35.

Turbo + FS-DE = KABOOM!

the 335 is extremely under tuned. 50-100 more tq and hp with just tuning and exhaust/intake

I can believe that. I read in a recent Motor Trend or Car n Driver, that the new 335i is faster than the previous M3 above 70mph. It reached 120mph like 2-3 seconds faster than the M3. And it was 1/10th second slower than the M3 in the 1/4 mile.

Damn, American car shows are so ******* boring. That was like watching a talking brochure. I can't wait to see TOPGEAR take one out.

Stock is about 8psi, but the turbo location is way down deep in the engine bay so youre correct, there is little, if no turbo noise whatsoever.

Now, with the Active Autowerks BOV option, and the new boost map (12psi) there is some considerable sound!

I went to go get hard figures at the dealer yesterday. I am gonna see about leasing one this month hopefully.
