2006 Mazda 6 transmission failure

Hi, We bought a 2006 mazda 6 that was 6 months old with 16,000 miles on it. The transmission failed 3 weeks ago. It has been sitting at the dealers all this time. The dealer has been great,but try getting an answer form Mazda Corp. itself!! They don't know where it's coming from, don't know a shipping date, and tell me there is a parts shortage. When I talk to their customer service they tell me "they have to do more research" WHAT THE HECK!! I paid 20 Grand for this car and all I get is a bunch of static. I hope no one else has this happen to them. I don't if it's because we are the second owners of this car,oh yeah, it's an ex-rental, or what,but this is totally outrageous. I can't believe you paid 20K for a Mazda 6. To make it worse, you bought a car that was driven 16K miles in 6 months. You could have got yourself a MS6 Sport with 4K miles for 20K.
