2006 Mazda 3i 2.0 Rebuild

I have a rod knock in my 2.0 and decided this is a good time to do a decent rebuild. I am leaning towards forced induction this time around, and decided on complete mls gaskets, forged pistons, rings, pins, main bearings, and rod bearings. I want to keep the stock bore if possible, because I'm assuming that a thicker sidewall would be desirable for forced induction. I am more looking for guidance to see if I am on the right track. I plan to use the stock turbo from my bug eye wrx (gone with a rotated setup since) and piece the rest of the kit together from other parts and pieces I have from other projects. I am aware of supporting mods and etc. as this is far from my first build. However, this is my first NA to FI build. Tranny wise, I believe I will be okay as I am only looking for around 200 whp. I have done some research, but mainly to no answers of any kind. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I am not concerned with practicality or cost effectiveness, so stray away from remarks of the sort. Thanks again!

what a weak forum. when I had my bug eye, you couldn't stop the flow of answers for every question that was asked.

for the transmission you really should look into getting the 6speed, its gear ratios are set for a turbo and will definitely help out on the highway. Another issue your going to be having is going to be tuning. They do not make a tuning solution yet for the 2.0l Engine.
