I have recently rescued a beautiful White 2006 Mazda 3 from being junked. The guy started parting it out so I took it off his hands before it was in pieces.
The rear hatch was missing so I found another one that was rusty but a temporary replacement locally. Only thing is, the wires to the hatch have been cut at the rubber boot that connects with the body.
I do not see any connector and I am assuming the connector for it is somewhere in the headliner, has anyone ever removed the hatch? The service manual isn't too specific on this procedure so I was hoping someone can chime in.
