2005 SRT-4 Test Drive

Overall I think the MSP is a better car. If you are looking at the power aspect then the srt-4 is better in that field. So in a drag race the srt-4 will beat an msp stock for stock. But on a course with twists and turns, the MSP will own the srt-4 . And like stated before you can always add power to a car, but some things cant be changed.

YES sir! IIRC my car would only boost 5-7psi in first gear and 13-15 psi the rest of the gears. it's been a while since ive had my car running off computer controled boost though. lol...

now, i dont get traction till 3rd gear. (boom07) (thumb)

not true....

srt-4 ACR vs msp= VERY close to even in twistes. (poke)
 
After owning a msp and driving a couple of srt-4's, I would take the srt-4 in a second over the msp. The interior isn't that bad, not like the protege interior is comparable to Lexus or anything.

In all reality i miss the looks the most from my old MSP, i see her every once & awhile on the streets *drool*

but I love the power off teh srt, cant get enough of it, im addicted to making it even faster.(eekdance)
 
The only thing i dont like about the srt-4 is the way it looks. It just isnt a classy looking car.
 
I liked the srt from when it first came out. I tried to get a brand new one in 04 but still owned 9g's on the p5. They were going to payoff the car and put in on top of the srt. But I wouldn't buy a $29,000 neon. I think its an awsome car and a few friends of mine have them. But the majority of people around here who have srt's are rich a**holes and have nothing better to say but smart remarks about how slow my car is or you drive a wagon. Not intended to all srt's drivers of course. But I have a little something planned to be finished in a month or two so they could gladly see my you just got passed by a wagon sticker.
 
Can anyone actually provide proof that the MSP is that much better than the SRT in terms of handling? I know MSP's are known for good handling, but after having driven a stock MSP and a stock SRT, I would say that they are pretty close. The only difference is that you have to watch how much power you put down in the SRT so that you don't oversteer.

SRT is a sweet car. I like my leather P5 interior more than the SRT interior, but I like the SRT interior more than the MSP interior. Those viper-esque seats are awesome.
 
Yeah, you have to be REAL careful laying down the power...I kinda pissed off the salesman when I test drove an 04 lol. As we were pulling out of the lot, I put it in second around the corner and floored it w/o thinking (like I would do in my crappy car), and LIT up the tires. It was really funny. He was like wtf u trying to get me in trouble?! That thing was a beast tho.
