Let me start by saying I know you guys will prob flame away at this and tell me how bad the srt-4 sucks.

Drove the 05' srt-4 this morning, got to take it in a parking lot and got to get on it, turning, straightline, etc. The turbo and exhaust note sounded mean...the car rides alittle rough compared to my P5, but lets face it its more of a performance car. I've drove a msp and i couldnt hear the turbo and the exhaust sounded like my P5 when it was stock..not too impressed, i mean i love my car and the msp's but for price to price comparsion the srt-4 wins hands down compared to the msp. I know your saying the price isnt the same but when the msp's first came out they were the same as the srt.

I can get it for prob 20K it has 73 miles on it and its the slick burnt orange color.

I even took my P5 in the same parking lot after the test drive and drove it the same.....i loved it..was very impressed with the P5's grunt and sound when i cornered at high speeds.

I know, I test drove an 03 w/ BOV (couldn't really afford it) and loved it lol. Flam on y'all. I was surprised by the raw power of the thing, and, it's no P5, but it handled pretty well w/ the LSD.

The 03 didn't come with a LSD if I remember correctly. Seemed they made alot of needed improvements from 03 to 04 and I'm pretty sure a LSD was on that list.

sorry, I meant 04, you are correct

i always wanted to test drive one, but i knew that if i drove one, id be driving one off the lot, so i restrained myself.

I would have if I could have afforded it. I totally fell in love w/ it too, it sucked. That thing ROCKED. I loved the Viper seats too.

I have to say that the P5 is WAY more practical tho. Having the hatch is a huge plus (auto-x tires + tools etc say what?)

i have an 04 srt-4.... and i love her. if you are going to get a srt-4 get the ACR edition!!!! trust ME!!! well worth the extra $1500.00

id take a clean ass msp over a srt-4 anyday though... i love the msp. (thumb)

230hp @ 5,300 rpm
250 lb-ft @ 2,400-4,400

Yeah, that's what I think now, I had not had any experience w/ 1 when I drove the Essartee

the speed is nice...but i wasnt impressed on the test drive, the turbo didnt make a peep, car sounded too quiet, no performance sound to it at all...handling yes it rocks! but when that srt spooled up i could def hear it. and the exhaust note was very appealing and ahh the feel when you sit in those viper seats (thumb)

I miss my srt. Modded, that car can be one hell of a beast! You'd be surprised how well the car handled with a few suspension mods.

Bang for the buck, there is no other 13 sec car you can get for under 25k new, closest thing would be the EVO VIII RS and that comes stripped at 28k.

For all of those racing interiors, go become an interior decorater and buy an RSX, it will suit your lifestyle. Too bad there's not a dyno to compare interiors, i bet you guys would be all over that.

YES! Get the ACR, you can bash a stock SRT-4's handing all you want, the handling with the ACR is just insanely good. For $1195 (not 1500) you get Adjustable Tokico Suspension, 16x7 BBS lightweight wheels with 225 KDW tires, Thicker rear sway bar (19mm?), Special seats made for racing seatbelts. So the wheels pretty much cost as much as the package and everything else is free.

EDIT: Here is a writeup on the SRT-4 ACR, its a good read for those of you considering one

Don't get me wrong, the SRT is not a bad car. If that's what you're looking for. For me, performance is readily upgradeable, interior not so much. And for that I would take the RSX (and MSP) over the SRT any day. I might get whooped in a race once every blue moon (I don't race), but I won't have to listen to or see cheap interior pieces EVERYDAY I get into the car. But that's me.

I seriously think my next car (so, that's a ways away) will be either a MS something (hopefully a 3 or something newer by then) or an evo. I've wanted 1 since the 1st time I saw 1 lol

i drove an 04 last year around this time (end of model year) and it was ok but not enough to get me out of my msp. then the acr came out a few months ago and the dealer had one but again, i didn't feel like it was worth trading the msp for (i wanted it w/ the sunroof and good sound so it ended up being around 25k i think in acr trim). then about 2 months ago i test drove the evo, and that was enough for me to trade the msp in, especially w/ 0% financing for 5 years. the srt is nice, and i told my gf she should get a used one when she's looking for a new car, but i can't see anyone trading their msp for one
