Question........please someone help me!

I have a 2004 Mazda 3 Titanium, my beauty.........I have the GPS Navigation in it. Is there a way for someone to get the version of my software that is running in the GPS and actually track where I go???? Please help me......

Thanks

yes but its no different than taking a cell phone with you

you have a better chance of winning the lottery

that would be suggesting that your car has a transmitter built into the GPS unit, and I am pretty sure that it is a reciever only.

yeah your probably right, on the onstar ones they do but not sure on these

Wouldn't any GPS unit have to have some sort of transmitter? Otherwise how does it know to receive the info you requested? Just like any PC, everytime you click a link you are sending out a request.

Thats not how GPS works

a GPS receiver just picks up signals from satellites in orbit and the computer calculates your location on how long each signal takes to get to the receiver. All of the road information is stored in the nav unit or on a DVD, the RX8 for example uses a navigation DVD.

That makes sense. I've never played around with a GPS system so I didn't know that's how it worked.

So does the Mazda3.

How would you know:)

Because I read option lists (and chose which things I didn't want).

No big mystery.

Are you saying Kane got us lost on the drive or something?

No jsut another febel attempt to be funny. Actually Kane's sence of direction has to be spot on remembering the drive route.
