2003's now with a 100 watt sub?

I have a 2002.

I get screwed not having the tweeters on the mirror on the door.
Now they have a 100 watt sub.
F---ing figures.

Is it possible to wire all of the above in on a 2002 protege5.

Well, I got my car last night and the sub is pretty nice, it puts out tight bass, not boomy or hollow. It doesn't hit real low so rap fans with hearing problems may not like it much but it's fine for my tastes (classical, dance, metal, some old school rap)

cdglowp5 - to answer your question, one of my friends from Audiworld said it looks exactly like the sub Pioneer makes to fit in the spare tire, it's pioneer model number TS-WX50A, I looked a bit online and didn't see it for sale in the US, but maybe you will have better luck. Here is a pic of mine...

It's got to be that. I did a google search for it and found it in Estonia (I think) among other places. Looks like the price there is 1,250kr. Latest conversion is about 14 per uS $, so does that make it around $90?!! Another site has it at 170 E (looks like Euro), which is about $175. Probably sell for $100-200 if they ever bring it here.

I want it! Why couldn't I wait... :'(

Will the waranty (spell) cover any work done by the dealer, and will a dealer be able to install a harness for a pre 2002.5 if one comes available as a part. This would help me out greatly if this is available. Thank you in advance for all of the help.

some of you said that the floor of the trunk is raised. Does that mean the actuall metal floor/frame of the car is higher or does it mean that the trunk/hatch carpet sits higher? How did they achieve that? Any pics?

02my= 2002 model year, 02.5my= 2002.5 model year, 03my= 2003 model year, 03.5= 2003.5 model year 04my= 2004 model year, and so on and so on, now 02.5 and 03.5 are both "mid cycle refresh",get it. (usa)

How do you know if you have a p5 2002 or 2002.5. What are the differences? I purchased my p5 in oct of 2002.

The most obvious differences are the wheels and the cup holders.

If you don't have a cover for your cupholders than you have a 2002.5, if you do then you have a 2002.

Whats so funny is that I got my car in august and my dealer told me about how many p5s they have sold, and I looked on the lot and they only had 2002's.

That Pioneer sub has been around for a while. I think they stopped selling it or something. Stereo Gods, help me out here.

I think that Kenwood has a really small sub that may fit under the front seat of our cars. Not sure coz I've never seen one in person. I'd like to check, tho. I feel ripped.

According to the wiring diagram for 03 the connector is there, the connector location is on the backside of the left rear door jamb switch. Pop the two clips out of the lower "c" pillar trim pull the trim panel toward the front of the vehicle, look for white connector, I did check 03.5 and 02.5,harness is not there prior to 03my.

Hey gaZOOM-ZOOM, I've got a 2003.0 and I just checked to see if the wiring is ther and it isn't. The only connector I saw was the one for the trunk light.

Here's what the dealer told me when I bought mine in March.
People complained about the roof rack being to noisy. So they made the rack an option instead of standard and to make up for the loss, they give you the sub standard so they don't have to change the price of the car.

So the ones with the MC1 code should either not have the rack, or have the rack with an additional code for it and the $250 price tag.

However, the one sitting in the show room that I saw had the MC1 code and the roof rack but the rack wasn't listed so I don't know.

But what I do know, is that I'd much rather have the rack than the sub. the sub will make you smile for a little while, but sooner or later you're going to realize its not enough.

I guess I'm picking up a 2003my on monday because I just went to check it out and it had a roof rack and no sub. If there is a harness I would order the 03.5 sub. Anybody find out yet? If not I would definately get one of those thin ones because i need bass, not a lot of bass, but i need more than the door speakers. I need cargo space more so I need one that I can either fit in the spare tire or under the seat or something. Stereo pros come on out and help me out on this one.

Now on to more important things NO!!!! DO NOT USE THE SAME WIRING TO RUN A PAIR OF JL 10's!!!! the wires present for the factory sub were designed for LOW power and a single 6" driver, they WILL NOT support the power needed for a pair of 10's
