A few weeks ago while checking with an OBDII adapter I was getting an errorMIL message of "errorMIL: on (2) Spark ignition, DTC's P0421- Warm up catalyst Efficiency below threshold, and P0455 Evap Emission System leak (Large Leak).

Since i recently purchased my protege, i wasn't sure the last time the plugs had been replaced, so i replaced my plugs with NGK V-Power plugs, and replaced my wires, coil packs, and plug boots. When i pulled my #2 plug it did look nasty. Now, after replacing all that the error has switched to "errorMIL: on (1) Spark ignition" and i still have codes P0421 and P0455. Also, under the hood always seems excessively hot, but maybe its just me?

My next thought is to move onto my fuel injectors, or maybe it has to do with te P0421 code more likely? Any help or advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance

I did the non fouler trick to my precat to get rid of the p0421, the p0455 could be a loose gas cap or a leaking line, search the forum these codes have been fixed by members and searching will give you much more information on how to fix them
