2002 Mazda Tribute with V6 - Issue

Well my wife has a 2002 Tribute with the ford V6 in it and i just found out that there is a clicking nose coming from the top end and as you rev it up more the faster it gets, so i am thinking that it is a lifter or something, but i don't know that much about the V6 in the thing.

Any one have this problem, it only has 68XXX KM's on it so i think it should be covered by the warrenty but i bought it used and do not know if it will transfer.


any help would be great.

I think the 2002 Tribute has a Ford 3.0L Duratec in it. I'm not familiar with the heads on that motor.

Check out the mpvclub.com forum.....The Tribute carries the same engine as the MPV (3.0L Duratec) and there is a thread there about this issue.
