my 2002 mazda protege stalls when you come out of a turn and get back on the gas it will just die but i can pop the cluch and it will go fine again, what could be the problem,,,and it idles at about 1500 or more rpm's,,if you need to know anything else just ask,,

Check EGR and check air intake tube for cracks. Both are common problems that affect idle and can cause stalling.

make sure the intake is connected to the throttle body and there are no holes in the pipe.

Mine does the same stuff, but rigth after I start the car over after being warm and sitting on a parking lot for about 1-2 hours.......

Any ideas?

i got the egr and idle control valve is there anything else i can check for while i got it apart,,or anything else to check for

again make sure your intake is hooked up tight and there is no big gap. my cai fell off one time and unless i ran at rpms greater that 2000 it would drop to 0 then spike to 800 then 0 then 800 and so on and so on

Check your oil level - if it is very low - the turn is slinging the remaining oil away from the pick up and the engine is starving for oil.

if the intake wasnt connected properly wouldnt the MAF trigger a code?

sounds like it could have something to do with the intake, but i dont know about it not being connected..

make sure the air filter is clean, lol

idk i couldnt tell if it triggered a code or not. my precat is completely gone. broke and hollowed out, so now my check engine is always on.

Do non-fouler fix for the cat!

The CEL may have to tell something really important one day...

how do i do that? and yeah idk if it will help but for my birthday im getting a voltmeter, oil pressure, and oil temp guage

my 2003 mazda protege did the same thing. i check my spark plugs and wires and when i pulled out the spark plug wire the end of the boot was broken off and was stuck above the spark plug. The wire wasn't getting any spark so would cause the car to stall. once new plug put in i have no more problems. i would check that out.

ok i got an update

after i put the new iac and the new egr it will start up and will not die,,but it still idles at 1800 untill engine gets warm then 800 but rpm's do not jump up and down ,,why does it idle high when i first start it,,and when i took the old egr off i shook it and something rattled in it new one doesnt,,but i didnt take it around a turn yet to see if it will die,,does anybody think the fuel pump could have something to do with it,,if i dies around turns still
