2002 ES water in the car?

So we had a bad rain storm last week and when I went to get in the car the following day I noticed an extremely large amount of water had collected on the floor under the drivers seat. I ripped up the carpet and dried everything out. But I could not find where the water got in, the rest of the car was bone dry, no stains on the headliner, no other section of the floor was wet at all. Could water have gotten into the cabin air intake and come out the floor vent during the heavy rain? I'm at a loss here.

There are lots of threads about this, it's possible there is a hole in the floor, a plug in the floor is missing, it can come in from the cowl/dash, it could leak from the driver door weatherstripping or even the windshield.

My trunk left and right corners (Jack Area on Passenger Side) filled with water from the Tail Lights, chronic problem. See if those areas are dry!
