2002 2.0 ES CAM and CRANK seal replacement

Good evening,

First, thanks to everyone on the forum who contributed to the HOWTO for timing belt replacement. I changed mine last weekend in roughly six hours. Now I have an oil leak from behind the timing cover. As I'm not aware of any oil jacket penetrations that were involved, I assume the front main seal is dying and or I disturbed it while working. So, what I can't find is a description of how to change the cam and crank seals. They came with the kit I bought, but since I hadn't seen them when I took everything apart I used "If it ain't broke..." logic.

I assume the inner pulley on the crankshaft has to come off (the one the timing belt goes around). If so how does it come off? After that I'm guessing it's just pry out and replace seal.

Same for the cams. Is it just remove the pulleys (one bolt each) and the seals are behind them?

Thanks,

Mike
