with a nice drop it wouldnt look bad at all
honestly, as much as I thought I'd hate them.....not too bad. Can you drop it at all or will you run into rubbing issues? Evene if it was just a 1/2"-1" drop I think it'd make a world of difference and get rid of the "SUV" stance. Hey, at least they don't spin, lol.
... Def. looks better then i thought it would have, would cool to see them painted a gloss black with the lip still chrome and i could be wrong but i think stock speed3 springs are close to a 1/2" drop. there is someone selling the stock speed3 suspension for 300 shipped i think thats the struts and springs.

Only problem w/that thinking is that the Speed3 is 500 lbs heavier to begin with. He probably would not gain any drop. Is that an oxymoron? (gain any drop.)
Try Tein H-Tech, or Mazdaspeed/Racing Beat springs instead.
They would look even better with some bigger after market brakes though.

wow its really that much heavier, never knew that.
But you might be able to get them powdercoated black and tape off the lip, and then have a clear powedercoat sprayed on the entire rim to help protect them. Im not to sure how powdercoating and chrome wheels mix together though.
the chroming is a chemical process. the chrome would be stripped off the wheels and then powdercoated.
edit: oh and to point out. it doesnt looks as horrible as i imagined it would.,,
i would assume so... but why would someone powdercoat the inside of the wheel...
