Hey guys just wanted to get your opinion on this.

My generic can muffler just crapped out on me. The fiberglass packing is coming off so much that it actually blocking the airflow from the tail pipe. Looks like the honey comb cylinder inside the muffler is all rusted out to the point that the packing is coming off.

So I plan to replace the muffler with an HKS Hi Power muffler. Thing is I don't know which size I should get. I have a 2.5 custom exhaust pipe, so I can go either a muffler with a 2.5 or 3 inch inlet.

Based on what I've seen on youtube and all, the hks with 2.5in inlet and 90mm tip looks small on the MSP. I think the HKS with a 3in inlet looks really good on a MS3, but I dunno know about how it looks on our car. Maybe the 3in inlet is way too big or stands out too much on the MSP, considering the car's back is narrow and smaller than the MS3.

Please let me know what you think. Does the HKS muffler with a 3in inlet/120mm tip looks out of proportion on our MSP?

Thanks

i have to ask has any1 seen or have the evo2 greddy exhaust for the protege? this car shop is selling it for 300 installed brandnew and im gettin interested but i wanna see how big it looks on the car first, any thoughts?

Get an HKS Carbon TI muffler. By far the best looking and sounding muffler i've ever had. I have a pic of it when i had it on my car. I can post it up later if you want.

Yeah I would like to see how it looks. Also, since you had it on your car, was it very loud and do you get a lot of droning inside the car?

Thanks

Cant get you that pic right now, but i will when i get to my home computer. But no deff no droning, it was very deep. I have the corksport 80mm now, and there's alot more droning inside the car. you cant go wrong with the hks carbon ti
