2.3l mazda 3 engine in a protege???

does anyone know how hard that would be, what i would need to change/get rid of? Has anyone done it or heard about it before? i have an extra 2.3 layin around, brand new.

It'll be very hard. For one, your wiring will all be completely custom, for another, you'd have to custom fabricate mounts or weld in new mounting points following the layout of the Mazda3 engine bay.

If I had one of those lying around, I'd try it myself (lower labor rates in this country make hiring an expert for the wiring less painful than it would be there) ... but such a job could take months.

13K could get a 250hp one, then you would just have to figure out how your gonna put it in the car
