2.3l head and IM questions

wondering if anyone would know the answer,

1. would a DISI head bolt up to a non disi bottom end properly?
2. out of curiosity would the normal 2.3l IM bolt onto a DISI head or is the bolt pattern different?
3. If someone were to use a stand alone ems could I entirely eliminate the stock drive by wire and rig up a cable operated throttlebody?

your question may be too new to be answered. There are very few shops that have even taken the DISI motor apart let alone trying to mix and match parts. If anyone would know it would be Ken at protegegarage. Maybe he'll chime in.
 
if anyone has a disi intake manifold gasket and cylinder head gasket they could compare to a normal 2.3IM and cylinder gasket I will paypal you $5 for comparing them to make sure they are the same.

well i went to mazda today. They are certainly different part numbers for the IM and cylinder head gasket, though the parts guy nor the mech that was standing there could verify if its because of different flange shape or just different composits. Anybody have a flange lying around or some good pics?
