2.0L FSDE Valvetrain Q?

Well the dealer called me and i won't have my car back until sometime tomorrow. The radio won't be in till tomorrow and they ordered the wrong shift knob. They got the right shift knob ordered now and it will be in tomorrow. Now everything else is done with the exception of them checking out the brakes and me making up my mind whether or not to flash the car?Engine cradle is tight again,no EGR leak, new stud in the D/P,i dunno what else i took it in for?
But it should all be in and done tomorrow.I cant wait to have my car back because this POS rental is killin me.

I have a 1995 Probe 5 cyl and it has ticked since I bought it new in 1995. My dealer claimed that it was because the engine is 16 valves. :bs:

Now I have the MSP and have had them running side-by-side. The Probe with 78,000 miles is definitely louder than the MSP at 6,800. MSP is still pretty loud though.

One theory I've heard is that the oil drain holes in the head get clogged and oil gets trapped. Not sure that I buy that one though, especially since the MSP is new.

I'm thinking about using heavier oil since I don't drive the MSP in Winter. That's about the only idea I have heard so far that sounds like it will help.

Well DAmn it!

The radio and shift knob has still not shown up!Damn UPS has made it to the dealer yet.Anyways,I got them to machine the front rotors on the car under warranty(@23K mi.) for the severe warpage, and I went ahead and OK'd the FLASH.I hope it was worth it.Will see in a few hours.

The exhaust leak was the culprit of most of my ticking...It is 80% quieter now.I am very happy now that its quieted down a lot.
