Oh I know that, I'm just saying its not a huge difference like with what they do to the Honda's. Like from the d15 to the d16, or f20 to f22. Anyways, I've rebuilt engines before, but some of the stuff doesn't make sense to me, other than people wanting more money than is necessary. And I'm not planning on using the stock pistons if I do a build, I was just saying the stock size/compression. I'm not saying I don't want to buy the right rods and pistons etc etc, it just seems like you wouldn't have to get everything "custom". There isn't another "f" engine that is bigger is there? Cause I know that everyone and their dog does a 383 stroker. Taking a Chev small block 350 and throwing a 400 crank in it. It's such an easy thing to get so much more torque potential. I just wondered if we had anything like this available. I can't think of any, because the 2.3 in the new Mazda's are a new engine, the Duratec I believe, and the only bigger engine that I know of is the K-series v6's. Anyways, just brainstorming.
