1998 Protege Alarm Question...Calling Mazda Gods

OK, I know this has been talked to death, but I want to make sure I have it really clear. My girlfriend has a 1998 Protege, manual transmission. I am wanting to hook up remote start (a Viper 771 made by DEI for those who are interested).

I know I have heard talk about a neutral safety wire...Do 1998 model Proteges with MANUAL TRANSMISSION have this wire?? If so, where can I find it?? Under battery?? And if so, does anybody know what color it is?? I know how to do it without this wire, but I just want to do it the right way and not rig it up unsafely. Your help would be appreciated more than you will ever know!!

Ok guys...one of you out there knows the answer to this!! I'm a Mazda amateur compared to most of you out there! Somebody HEEEELLLPPP!!

Ok, well, glad I figured it out myself by testing random wires with a multimeter...you guys weren't much help. Got it figured out though, car only starts in neutral now. For those who care, the neutral safety wire is under the battery tray, in a 2 wire harness coming off the transmission. The harness had 2 green wires in it, only one of them was the right one, showing ground when in neutral.
