1997 protege engine swap?

im looking for another engine for my 1997 1.5l dohc protege. i was thinking about getting the mx-6 4cyl 2.0 liter. i was wondering if its possible if the 2.5l v6 would fit. willing to relocate battery etc. anyone have any suggestions on a good engine im open for ides

hey././.not sure if that would fit...most popular swap is the bpt 1.8...i think the engiine bay is just way to small for a 2.0..not really sure....check in club protege.com or protegeclub.com..they cater more to second gens there than here...whenit comes to technicals like that....later

you could drop in a 1997 1.8 BP.. It will take a bit of extra work and wireing though.
