Hello again!

I think i'm getting closer! Here's a link:

http://sarasota.craigslist.org/ctd/3579773755.html

i checked it out today.. didn't drive it. It has:

94,000 miles, 5 speed
Great condition top
Headers and exhaust
Excellent exterior and interior
Aftermarket alarm
ALL RECORDS!! These include:
- Timing belt changed at 80,000 miles - back in 2006
- Clutch slave and master cylinder repaired
- Synthetic blend

* I think 5,000 is a very fair price.. could always be lower though, of course. whatcha think?

***BIGGEST QUESTION****

I know I fit quite well in the other Miata I sat in - but in this one, I couldn't recline ALL the way back with the chrome style bars.

I plan on replacing these with an actual roll bar (a must have precaution with a miata IMO) - will something like this one in the link below let me recline all the way back? Note that it doesn't have the bar coming in proximal to the center / seats.

Wow, that's a pretty nice find. All of the Miatas I see around my area are beaters.

I'd buy that Miata. Looks to be in awesome shape, not a ton of miles. The service records are a huge plus.

Did they do the water pump with the TB at 80k?
Honestly, the aftermarket alarm is a negative. They usually cause more problems, particularly if you want to remove it.

$5000 is a very fair price, especially since it's an M edition. Plus, it's one of the more desirable M editions based on options, color, etc. I bet you could pick it up for $4500. :)

If you buy it, and decide to sell those wheels, PM me. :)

Roll bars... Go with a hard dog. (Your link just went to Vivid's main page.) I have one in my '91 (I have the hard core model with double diagonals) and it doesn't hinder the movement of the seat whatsoever. With the seat all the way back and reclined there is a good chance that your head would have the opportunity to contact the roll bar. I have racing seats with a higher back so that is no longer possible, but I installed padding nonetheless.

that's a fantastic vehicle. the 96 M is one of my favorite mx5 models. i would do it. the style bar is only a bolt in, so it should come out with minimal fuss.

$5000 for a M edition in that condition is fair. If the top is in good condition that's a bonus since the majority of the NA models are not in superb condition. I'd say jump on it. Of course I'm biased, I have owned three different NA model Miatas.

Just stumbled upon my old thread here.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I ended up getting her. Very happy I did.

Although, I still miss my P5, I am starting to fall in love with this baby. Perhaps she'll totally steal my heart when I do the suspension next.

I posted a WTB for a trade on a P5, but I might wanna wait till I do the suspension. Right?

Looks great! Definitely do the suspension.

Flyin' Miata V-Maxx or Koni Yellows with GC sleeves/springs. ;)

Yep, that's next on my to-do list =)

As well as NOS haha (and yes, I know the good and bad about it already)
