im lookin at buy a 1993 mazda protege and im wondering what in them for motors. are they dohc? and do they have a solid rear axle. thanks
patmaz said:for the motors,1.6l single cam(very very rare same motor as the 323),1.8l single cam,1.8l twin cams, most have the 1.8 single cam,if you find a GT,you will have the twin cams, and for the SE model to...
in some GT,you also can find the 1.8 bpt, twin cams, that one is turbo, and believe me,its a little beast....
and for the rear axel, well on my 95,wich was a 94 model,it was indepedent in the back,no rear axel....but maybe different on the 91-93 models, wich i really dont know....
MazKid said:No, fully independant suspension, the way it should be.
And the motors are:
B8 - 1.8L SOHC, 108hp, found in all '90-'94 Proteges except LX(GT in Canada).
BP - 1.8L DOHC, 125hp, found in '90-'94 Protege LX/GT
The '86-'89, then '90-'94 323 has the B6 - 1.6L SOHC, 82hp.
That should help.
