18's pwdr coated black

yeah fo real men how much did they charge you? and how long did it took

mine was 348.72 which included the sandblasting of the paint off and powdercoating plus taping off the lip

well i guess it was ok but ill just stick with mine for a while

they took abt a week for the sandblasting and abt 8 hrs for the pwdr

why so long

cause the lip has a layer of clear on it and the pwdr guy was concerned it would melt with the heat of the oven. also i was going on vacation and told them i was not in a rush. also just to let everybody who has adr's. the polished lip has a clearcoat that is pwdr coated on and is a b**** to remove. i know since i am polishing some defects out of the lip and getting through the clear sux.

yeah its kind of expensive but they almost building a new rim you know what i mean

ya it wasn't cheap and i am still polishing the lip but i think it was worth it

did you buy the rims first and then after using the a while you wnated to chage the look

i had these rims last yr and they were gunmetal and i wanted somthing diffrent.

same thing we did with my girlfriends (gapeachsp5) sokudos. they were originally silver, but we got tired of that so we made them black. black on red=hawtness.

i was going to buy new black rims but this was cheaper and i do like the style, so i decided to try pwdr, plus all the lips will be nice and have a glass finish................
buying new rims is just too easy ........i like to work a little i guess.......
