what size tires are you guys running on your 18s. I bought some with 225/40/18s and they only rub on the drivers side shock.

.

215/35-18 is the closest to the OEM size
I'm planning on running 215/40-18 with a tokico and espelir set. Hopefully I won't rub too much.

CDNRedP5 are you lowered at all, and what's your driving style like?

This is all year beater so im not driving hard. i plan on getting the tokico blue kit soon so at this point im stock. these are 225/40/18s and after taking a sledge to a penny sized buldge on the bottom of the spring seat of the rear divers side things seem to be fine.

I haven't gotten them yet, waiting for my paycheck (later on today ;) ) but I'm planning on getting these http://www.enkei.com/ev5.html the 18x7.5's with a +38 offset I decided to go with the 215/35-18 tires. I'm lowered 1.4 inch all around. What're your rim specs?

Whats the max offset that a protege5 can handle without rubbing on the strut and/or fender. Im talking stock suspension and UNrolled fender.

could i use a 18x7.5 +48 with 215/35R18
how about a 18x8 + 35 with 215/40R18

i dont want to rub at all... and i dont want negative camber or anything i just want to know if it will fit as is!?

please and thanks!

did you guys look to see where it was rubbing? Like i said before i only rubbed on the rear drivers side spring seat. after taking a sledge hammer to the spot things seem to be fine.

oh and did i mention i could MAYBE fit a piece of paper between the rims lip and the shock in the rear ? (nailbyt)

Yeah they're probably touching the spring perch, it's pretty close with the stock set up even

I'll let you guys know how the lower offset works when I order my wheels

i believe mines is rubbing with the spring seating part..i guess i might have to bang it in so it doesnt rub .
