just checked my math on that calculator, and they agree (but round to the nearest mm ) I know I can tell a .35 mm difference

I've heard of people doing it, but I for one wouldn't want to remove much meat from the wheel where it mounts to the hub, and potentially weaken the wheel structurally... ask around, though, people have done it

spacers decrease positive offset, which on his application would push the wheels even further outward

^Tyrant^, do NOT get a 7.5" wide rim with a +42 offset and a 215mm wide tire, I have a 215mm wie tire, and a 7.5" wide rim but I have a +45 offset, and I am the closest you'd EVER want to be to the fender, and I mean VERY close. Now I am lowered a LOT, but some forum members have seen my car in person and I've shown them the "gap" inbetween the fender well and the tire, it is almost too close for safety.

Hmmm, well we'll see, I have 7.5" wide wheels with 43 offset. Hopefully they'll fit. I'm getting 35 series tires, and I'm still at stock height so I *think* I'll be ok, but I'll find out in 2 weeks when I get the tires, I might be rolling some fenders (hand)

Does anyone know the width and offset of the stock 16" wheels on a 02' ES? I want to try to calculate a 18x8 wheel with a 40mm offset. Will they rub the fender or the suspension? What is the best tire size for this wheel? Is it still 215/35/18?

I guess a 225/35/18 using a 7.5"X18 w/ a 45 offset would work on a stock msp?
