ok guys i would like to know if some 18's would fit nicely without having to make any camber corrections. i know the msp already has 215/45/17 and i figure if i went with 18's i would be at 215/40/18, and from this tire calculator i used it says when im driving 60mph im actually going 60.4 so its not perfect but its not way off. The rims i looking at getting are 18x8 is the width going to be a problem?

ok i stand corrected i just check the manufacors website, and they are 18x7.5 the site that i was looking at to buy them has them sized at 18x8,

offset is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel to the geometric centerline of the wheel...

this line is key "If the offset were to stay the same while you added width, the additional width would be split evenly between the inside and outside."
you'd be fine with a +42mm offset if the wheel were 7" wide, but when you add .5", that gets added to each side (6.35 mm to each side)

if you're really sold on those rims, get 215/35s and pray
and if all else fails you may need to yank on the rear fenders a bit or have the mounting surface of the rims machined a couple mm's
did you input stock MSP rims? 17x7, 50 mm
going to a 18x7.5, 42 mm
you would be adding 6.35 mm to each side and pushing the rim out 8 mm
so you'd be 1.65 mm farther away from the strut housing, but 14.35 mm further out than stock
