I just bought a set of aluminum mags from a VW owner.
It's 14 inch, like the title says, and has winter tires on it.
the tires don't have much life left but it seems like it will last for one winter.
Now since i am a poor college student i want to keep the snow tires..
the snow tires are 185/60R14, and my stock steel rims got 185/65R14 tires.
According to calculation the snowies will have 3.158% difference in speedo and 3.07% difference in diameter. the guide says i should keep it under 3% otherwise risk break failures...and my difference is just right at 3% difference.
Would it be okay to use the snow tires with the difference?
Free set of tires..don't want to let them go..
what are your opinions?
