18" will rub?

Whats up all.....I have a 2003 Mazda6i and i just ordered 18" Rims with 225/40/18 tires. A friend of mine said that they are gonna rub!!! What's the width and offset of the wheels?

If you didn't bother to check the offset (Mazda uses some funky offsets - 60 for the 17" and 55 for the 16"!) it will definitey rub. Especially in the back, with people in the back seat.

In fact EVEN the stock 17 with a slightly wider tire (225/45-17) will rub a bit when driven at the "extreme".
Get the fenders rolled - safe-ish on a newly painted car, and not too expensive. Makes all the difference (unless you bought wheels with a truly terrible offset, like something in the 30s!)
