17x8 BBS sti wheels...will they fit?

So the opportunity to get silver 07 sti wheels is there. 5x114.3 53 offset. I would get them machined to the proper hub size and run 225/45-17 on them. Tire/wheel size calculator says they'll give an extra 0.2" on each side, but there doesn't seem like there's much room to work with. I've only found one other thread where somebody put these wheels on a 3, and they had to run spacers, but their car was lowered. Does anybody know if these will actually work on a stock ms3? It's a good deal but I don't want to waste my money. You guys are the experts, and I'm just a young grasshopper...thanks for any advice you can offer

*EDIT* renamed thread...sorry for the confusion

THe hub bore is to small so inorder to fit them you will have to bore out the hubs wich will weaken the wheels and make them unfit for road use.

How would that be any different from having the same wheel with the same bolt pattern and the right bore size. Still has the same tangent wall thickness to the lug holes?

I agree, just like how you can get subydude to bore out some rotas to our hub size. Rotas are good quality, and these are forged BBS rims so I didn't think that would be a problem. My main concern is wheel/tire to suspension clearance. I know people can fit 18x8 with a 48mm offset on the ms3, but will a 17x8 with 53mm offset fit? Wouldn't a 53 offset put the wheels closer to the suspension than a 48 offset? I've been trying to wrap my head around this offset concept for about a week now...

They would tuck more but that could be fixed with some 5mm spacers. I don't see why you couldn't make them work.

I thought stock was like 52mm offset. Yes it would move the rim closer to the suspention side the greater the offset.
